Four days in Elazig

In the framework of the Elazig Fotofest organized by the Tourism Office and the Euphrates development agency, I was invited last July along with four other photographers on a 4-day-tour in and around . This was one of my first professional experience in which I used a two-camera setting. What I found was the sweetest combo was the Pentax K-5 with a fast normal zoom (Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 HSM) and my (quite) newly acquired OM-D E-M5 with a prime mounted on it – generally the 45mm f/1.8 (35mm equivalent 90mm) so as to cover a wide range of focal distances. But let’s not delve too much on technicalities.

There I met Erhan, Vee and Yvonne – all seasoned artists and professionals from which I have a lot to learn – as well as Denis, a very friendly amateur photographer. The trip itself was… well extremely tiring and challenging at the same time: we were rushed from a place to another by van, barely having the time to pause, wander and get inspiration from the places we were visiting (except in the market). To top it all, it appeared that we were actually kind of VIPs for the festival and, besides the countless teas sipped in the company of a variety of really important people, we were even hosted in a 45′ talk show on local TV! :D

Anyway, I came out with these 50 pictures, out of which 12 will be used for an itinerant about Elazığ, the details of which I will disclose as soon as I know them!
